Baha’i House of Worship in Chile

The idea of building a House of Worship near Santiago de Chile has already existed since a couple of years now. Not much news about this project has yet made it to the world outside of Chile though. From looking at the pictures section of my blog you can see that Santiago really is not a ‘that beautiful’ city. The impact that the beauty of a Baha’i House of Worship will have on such a region is immense and yet unimaginable for the Baha’is in Santiago (me included). One example: When the message got out that MAYBE a House of Worship will be built in Santiago the newspapers started going crazy, reporting on it and interviewing random Baha’is. As I’ve heard from my secret sources of top secret information, the confirmation of the definitive construction of the House of Worship will be given by the Universal House of Justice within the next months. As for the moment, the decision on where it will be has yet to be made and the land purchased. With the building of this temple the Baha’i Faith of Chile and probably also of the neighbouring countries will arise from obscurity.As there are currently less than 500 Baha’is living in Santiago, with less than 50 tutors among them, there will be a great need of teachers of the Faith.
